A few people were upset with my doing so. Here is the point. Caring for your employees welfare is not only good business but the right thing to do. If it cost an extra sale or two in order to justify medical care, sick pay or day care for your employees do it.
Did you know two thirds of workers on minimum wage are women? That 70% of them don’t receive one sick day. And when asked what they want from their employers they desire a sick day. Just one sick day. So, if you are bemoaning minimum wage increases and benefits for your employees while you drive a Mercedes something is wrong. Remember that adage, “We treat our people like family.” That is your competitive advantage. That is #leadership.
