This isn’t at all extreme. From my time as an employee, professor, elementary teacher and consultant I have seen this play out far too many times. It doesn’t matter what the directive is. Not only do employees think, “yada, yada, yada” so does management.

They honestly haven’t a clue as to why they are “fired up.” When the process begins no one has planned the end game. Think about it. The real reason so little gets done effectively has nothing to do with external events. It is solely your leadership or shall I say, lack of it.
