Amazing what can be done when imagination is added to the mix. At the London Design Festival in 2012 Yotel founder Simon Woodroffe introduced this novel concept. Utilizing counterweights used in theaters transformed a single room into different rooms of the same apartment. Just imagine if you released the latent creative energy within your employees. It all begins with trust and engagement.
The apartment contains 12 moving parts that help transform the space. Walls can shift and adjust to reveal or create storage spaces, and a false floor can rise to reveal living space underneath and a sleeping area on top of it.
Said Muppet creator Jim Henson, “Simple is good.” When working on customer service programs, ploicies, ways to increase competitive advantage and especially strategic planning remember this rule. Be creative. But simple is good. More over simple is elegant. Jim Woods
