Please don’t misconstrue this. As a black man I’ve noticed we presume race is only an American dilemma. Moreover, that blacks are the only people prejudiced against. That is a misnomer. Hispanics, Asians, Muslims and many others are disenfranchised. Please watch this video of the hanging of these innocent women purely because of economic standing.
In reality diversity is a challenge for most people even among it’s ardent proponents. We have ensconced ourselves around those who are similar. Preferring to retain our predilections as absolute even in the face of reality.
On of the most disastrous moments I experienced when moving to Colorado was serving on the board of a well known diversity group. While we had people of color the prevalence of group think was lauded. No one appreciated diversity of thought.
Those who think alike, innovate alike. Watch this short video from CNN on the hanging of these innocent young women. Diversity is much more than Race.
How can this assist you in teams and creating management? Hire people who believe in the mission but will give you their opinion. Be suspicious when everyone agrees.
Negative thinking has it’s benefits. Remember, everyone agreed to the Spanish Armada.
Feel free to arrive at whatever conclusions you wish. I have lived as devout more Mormon for 45 years. My ex is white. My grandchildren are mixed. My vision may appear to be deluded. It is however, victimless.
