Purpose doesn’t flaunt itself. There are clues to unlocking our purpose.

We all want to do something important. They don;t don’t realize they don’t have to become in order to be. Which is the ultimate purpose of our life.

We are here for greater than the corner office.

We all have questions concerning our purpose. We want to know why adversity occurs. Why challenges happen to good people. Why regardless of how hard you try things don’t work out?

As I have looked at life I am convinced there are a couple of challenges we have in life. If we were to meet these challenges life is more rewarding. Here are ways to encourage you to find your resources for your life purpose:

  1. Is to find ourselves. Nothing is more important to our discovery is to know ourselves. There is an ancient Greek aphorism “Know thyself” that was inscribed on Temple of Apollo.
  2. To lose ourselves. We lose ourselves when our purpose of being is greater than becoming. Many people go through life never find themselves and conversely never lose themselves.
  3. Give to a greater cause. If a leader gives his or herself to service of people they will become authentic from the inside out. Doing so makes meetings meaning. Accountability easier because trust has been established without rancor or stern rebuke.
  4. Focus on what matters most. Things do not give us meaning We can have all the things we thought would give us happiness only to realize the small things done well with passion can change the world. We can lose ourselves leading to a fruitless life by cashing dreams without the energy to propel us to become greater than. A woman I know who lost her husband took a job changing beds in a small hotel. In the process she met a person at the hotel whose kind words gave her energy to return home to write her thoughts on starting over. Her wirings led to earnings so she no longer had to change the beds of strangers. But she found herself in an unlikely place of giving service without expectations.

You are not in your position whatever it may because just because you just happen to be wondering around. There is a greater purpose in where you are. Why? For the simple reason you have lives to touch.

Why does this matter? When people know how much you care it becomes easier to get them to do the things they never imagined they could do. They want to do the right things.

They become passionate. Passion is linked to purpose.

In each of us there is a definite relationship with what we love and what we are doing. Passion and purpose come together. Once you find your passion you find your purpose. There is not possible way a person with passion lacks energy.

When we have passion and purpose we want to have this feeling migrate to others.

Is it possible to be passionate at something we are not effective at? Certainly. One only has to view an episode of the America Idol. You’ll find people excited about singing who have little passion. Yes they were better than others who auditioned.

If you are passionate however it will set you above the crowd. The world is so full apathetic average that once you have passion it sets you apart. It gives you an advantage that gives you an advantage in life. Jim
